What are the requirements for the M - Common law partnership Colombian visa?
General requirements:
Digital photograph of the applicant, document size, preferably taken in a studio (white background, 3x4 cm).
Copy of the main passport page.
Copy of the last Colombian visa (only if applicable
If located in a country other than the country of residence, provide a document proving migratory regularity in that country (for foreigners who do not require a visa to enter Colombia).
Specific requirements:
Authentic copy of the public deed, judicial ruling, conciliation act, or validity certificate (as applicable), issued no more than three (3) months prior to the visa application, declaring the existence of the common-law partnership. The formalization date of the document supporting the common-law partnership must be more than one (1) year old at the time of the visa application.
If the visa application as a permanent partner of a Colombian national is submitted at a Consular Office of the Republic, a valid document proving the existence of the common-law partnership will be accepted according to the laws of the country where it was declared, in compliance with the formalities required for foreign documents.
Letter signed by the Colombian permanent partner, requesting the visa for their foreign partner, stating that they maintain a unique, constant, enduring, and stable cohabitation, and committing to inform the Visa and Immigration Authority of any changes in their living situation. The letter must include a simple photocopy of the Colombian national ID card (cédula de ciudadanía) and provide the Colombian partner’s contact address, email, and phone number. The Visa and Immigration Authority may request additional evidence to verify the existence of the relationship or summon the applicants for an in-person, virtual, or telephone interview if deemed necessary.
Special power of attorney granted to the foreigner to apply for the visa, with recognition of content and signature before a notary or Colombian consul.
Certificate of migration movements of both the foreign applicant and their Colombian permanent partner, issued by the Special Administrative Unit for Migration Colombia.

If the common-law union or marriage is dissolved, it is mandatory to notify the Visa and Immigration Authority. The termination of the relationship may affect the validity of the visa, and you may need to change your immigration status or apply for another type of visa to remain legally in Colombia.
Prenuptial agreements are valid for those who legally marry. However, in the case of a common-law union, patrimonial agreements can be established through notarized documents defining financial and cohabitation aspects of the couple.
