What are the requirements of the V - Volunteer visa?

General requirements:

Digital photograph of the applicant, document size, preferably taken in a studio (white background, 3x4 cm).

Copy of the main passport page.

Copy of the last Colombian visa (only if applicable

If located in a country other than the country of residence, provide a document proving migratory regularity in that country (for foreigners who do not require a visa to enter Colombia).

Specific requirements:

Passport with a minimum validity of six (6) months.

Letter signed by the legal representative of the entity or organization stating the activity, the program of activities, the places where the volunteer will develop the projects, and its duration. The entity must assume the financial responsibility for covering all expenses of the foreign volunteer during their stay in Colombia, as well as the return expenses to the country of origin or the volunteer's last place of residence upon completion of the activities.

Health insurance policy with coverage in the national territory for all risks, including accidents, illness, maternity, disability, hospitalization, death, or repatriation, for the duration of the stay in the country.

Valid document proving the legal status of the entity or organization with at least five (5) years of operation, issued by the competent Colombian authority, or a certificate of incorporation from a country other than Colombia issued within the three (3) months prior to the visa application.

The applicant entity or organization must demonstrate financial solvency by providing bank statements showing an average balance of one hundred (100) current legal minimum wages over the six (6) months prior to the visa application. This requirement is not necessary for public entities.
