What are the requirements of the M - Rentista / Annuity visa?
General requirements:
Digital photograph of the applicant, document size, preferably taken in a studio (white background, 3x4 cm).
Copy of the main passport page.
Copy of the last Colombian visa (only if applicable
If located in a country other than the country of residence, provide a document proving migratory regularity in that country (for foreigners who do not require a visa to enter Colombia).
Specific requirements:
Passport with a minimum validity of six (6) months.
Visa application letter stating the source of income for the applicant's rent.
Criminal or police record certificate issued by the authority of the country where the applicant has lived for the last three (3) years, with the required apostille or legalization and translation as established in Article 21 of this Resolution.
Provide a certification from a public entity or recognized private company, detailing the income paid or transferred in the applicant's name, or prove ownership of assets in Colombia that generate rental income.
The income from rents must not be less than ten (10) current legal monthly minimum wages.
Health insurance policy with national coverage for all risks including accidents, illness, maternity, disability, hospitalization, death, or repatriation, for the duration of the stay in the country. Apostille: The document must have the corresponding apostille to ensure its international validity. Translated to Spanish: If the document is in another language, it must be translated into Spanish by an official translator.
