What are the requirements for the M - Father or mother of a Colombian national by birth Visa?

General requirements:

Digital photograph of the applicant, document size, preferably taken in a studio (white background, 3x4 cm).

Copy of the main passport page.

Copy of the last Colombian visa (only if applicable

If located in a country other than the country of residence, provide a document proving migratory regularity in that country (for foreigners who do not require a visa to enter Colombia).

Specific requirements:

Copy of the Colombian birth certificate of the child. If both parents are foreigners, the Colombian birth certificate of the child born in Colombia must contain an annotation indicating its validity for proving nationality and must be registered in the official database of the Civil Registry Authority. If the birth certificate contains other annotations unrelated to nationality, such as serial number changes, paternal recognition, name changes, among others, the corresponding prior record must be provided.

Visa application letter: If the Colombian national child is a minor, the letter must be signed by the Colombian parent, stating that the foreign parent is fully fulfilling their parental obligations. If consent from the Colombian parent is not available, the visa applicant must provide certification from the competent family authority confirming that there are no protection or rights restoration measures and that the foreign parent has been fully meeting their obligations. If both parents are foreigners, the letter must be signed by both parents.

If the Colombian national child is of legal age, they must submit a letter signed by hand and include a fingerprint from the right or left index or thumb, requesting the issuance of the Migrant Visa for their foreign parent. This letter must be accompanied by a photocopy of the child's Colombian citizenship ID (cédula de ciudadanía). The foreign parent must provide proof of the visa they held at the time of the child's birth.

Certificate of migration movements of both the father and mother of the minor, issued by the Special Administrative Unit for Migration Colombia.

Proof of financial solvency, demonstrated through average bank statements from the last six months and proof of income source.
