What is the certificate of migratory movements?

It’s an official document issued by Migración Colombia that certifies all your entries to and exits from the country through migration checkpoints.

It’s useful for:

  • Visa or residence applications
  • Tax or fiscal processes
  • Citizenship applications
  • Work or academic requirements

Who can request it?

Both Colombians and foreigners who have entered or left the country and need an official record of their migratory activity.

How to request it in 2025

The process is fully online and must be done through the official Migración Colombia website.

Steps:

  1. Access the online services portal
    Go to the official Migración Colombia website and navigate to:
    👉 Online Services – Migración Colombia
  2. Select the procedure
    Choose the option: “Certificado de Movimiento Migratorio” in the form.
  3. Enter your personal information
    Fill in your full name, document number, nationality, etc.
  4. Attach required documents
    • Copy of your ID (passport or foreigner ID card)
    • Proof of payment (costs vary—check the latest fees on the official portal)
  5. Make the payment
    Pay via PlacetoPay, which supports credit cards, debit, PSE, and more.

Wait for confirmation
Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your request number.

How long does it take and how much does it cost?

The processing time usually ranges from 5 to 10 business days.
Be sure to check your email regularly for updates or requests for additional documents.
