M - Beneficiary Visa

The Beneficiary type of visa is meant for those foreigners who depend economically or are family members of another foreigner who now holds a Migrant or Resident visa. 

In this case, the Beneficiary Colombian Migrant visa will allow partners and children (immediate family) and even parents of the M visa holder (if they are economically dependents of him/her) to obtain the visa as well, permitting them to stay in the country up to three years or the same amount of time as the principal holder visa validity is, a beneficiary visa holder is not allowed to work with this kind of visa, but it allows beneficiaries to study in Colombia. The M – Beneficiary visa is granted for up to three years and allows you to apply for a Colombian Residency after

 

What are the requirements to apply for the Colombian M - Beneficiary Visa?

Document size digital picture of the applicant on a photography shop (3×4 Cm White background).

Copy of your passport’s main page.

Updated marriage or birth certificate proving the relation with the main visa holder. It must be recently apostilled, translated to Spanish.

Main holder current visa.

If the main holder visa was issued more than six (6) months (M type) or two (2) years (R type) ago, must present an updated Migratory Movements Certificate issued by Migración Colombia. 

Financial responsibility letter signed by the main visa holder.
