M - Andean Visa
The Andean visa allows citizens of the Andean region to travel and work freely in Colombia. The Andean countries include Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia.
To obtain an Andean visa, the applicant must be a citizen of one of the Andean countries, and must meet certain requirements, such as having a valid passport, proof of income or employment, and no criminal record. The visa is granted just once and allows the holder to live in Colombia for up to two years, the Andean Visa allows you to apply for a Colombian Residency after holding it for two years.
The Andean visa was created as part of the Andean Community of Nations, a regional organization that aims to promote economic integration and cooperation among the member countries. The visa is meant to facilitate the movement of people and goods within the region, and to promote trade and investment between the Andean countries.
What are the requirements to apply for the Colombian M - Andean Visa?
Document size digital picture of the applicant on a photography shop (3×4 Cm White background).
Copy of your passport’s main page.
Copy of the last entry, exit or safe-conduct stamp (It depends on the location of the foreigner).
Copy of the last Colombian visa (if applicable).
Certificate of judicial, criminal or police record issued by the authority of the Member country of nationality or in which the petitioning Andean national has resided during the five (5) years prior to the visa application. The document must be apostilled and translated.
Passport with a minimum validity of six (6) months.
Copy of the stamp of entry to the country or migratory card if you are in Colombia.
Written statement of intent to establish temporary residence in the receiving country and the means of subsistence available for their stay.
