      In addition, although the Resident Visa allows permanent residency, the holder must renew the visa every 5 years. It can also lose validity if the holder is absent from Colombia for 2 consecutive uninterrupted years.<\/p>\r\n

      Although each visa has specific requirements, most applications require a common set of documents.<\/p>\r\n

      General documents typically include:<\/p>\r\n

                  Choosing the wrong visa<\/h3>\r\n

                  This is one of the most common errors.<\/p>\r\n

                  For example, someone who wants to work for a Colombian company should not apply as a tourist or digital nomad. The category must reflect the applicant’s actual situation.<\/p>\r\n
